Lower priced home sales are dominating the market in Carson City. 60% of the homes sold in Carson City in April sold for under $200,000. In addition, there was not one single home that sold in Carson City in April over $500,000.

With 30 homes sold in April, the Carson City market has picked up from January when only 10 homes sold.
In addition, the gap between the average asking sales price and the average selling price has been shrinking steadily over the last few months.
Does this mean the Carson City Nevada Real Estate Market is bottoming out? Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is after we see the increase in sales volume and modest price appreciation. Do I think it's close to the bottom? Yes, I do. Check back with me next month where we'll review May home sales and see if a trend is indeed emerging.
